NORVAX OR QUOTIT...

by Ohio Health Insurance » Sun Feb 10, 2008 11:33 pm

Tough call. Clearly, these are the two best health insurance quote engines in the marketplace.

Some of Norvax's features:

Run multi-carrier quotes in 60 seconds

Point, click and email quotes or plan comparisons to your prospects - no packets to assemble, no postage necessary

Let prospects compare plans, rates and carriers side-by-side, 24-hours a day online, significantly speeding up their decision-making process

Choose the carriers you want to quote and the plans you want to display

Spend less time educating prospects and going over rates

Increase agent productivity by quoting and contacting more people per day

Eliminate the hassle and expense of direct mail by turning your website into an interactive lead-generating tool

But Quotit has some snazzy features too...

Generate Custom Group Insurance Proposals From Any Computer Via the Internet.

Run reports from all carriers in one easy to read proposal.

Print presentation quality reports in about a minute!

Run HMO & PPO Dual Option Quotes Quickly and Easily.

Select the insurance carriers and report styles.

Store census and quote data information. Re-run and modify census information any time...online.

OK...so which one is best for you. First of all...if you are not buying at least 200 leads per month, skip them both. If you just are interested in the quoting software only, go for Quotit. If you like the automated followup features, then Norvax is your best bet.

Of course, if your're just plain lazy...then sit back and get ready for the baseball season. Fantasy Baseball is just around the corner!

Update: Quotit does NOT incorporate Time Insurance into their software. Also, you must be careful to use date of birth coding instead of age coding (so your followups are correctly priced).

Thanks for the information, it is cool to be able to go online from the living room and check out all this information, especially for someone shopping for insurance.

I handle most of my insurance issues via the internet, my dental, vision and health care providers all have websites that I visit when I have issues.

I disagree. Quotit is fine for the Eastern U.S. Just curious...what is your rationale?

Quotit DOES now have Assurant/Time and Assurant/Alden!
Finally!

Quotit does have autoresponder, and Quotit is fine across the whole US now. Quotit also has BOTH birthdate and age too.

So all objections removed. And it's the best there is. Note that there may be some states that Quotit is a little light in. Talk to Rusty, he is my sales rep, if you call there. their web site is quotit.com I think.

Norvax is updating their engine so prospects and agent can add plan features right on the main quote page - which will place it above Quotit.

There are other quoting systems that you can access from any computer and have all these features that Norvax and Quotit.

Norvax support is poor and they do not keep the quotes up to date when insurance carriers change rates. Humana is not changing rates quarterly.

I have stopped using the system but I still pay them 150 per month.

What other options besides Norvax and Quotit are there? I am looking for something more than just a cut-and-paste framed solution. What service should I use if I need something with an XML API that gives me direct access to quotes so I can format and work with it the way I want to?
