I am on disability benefits. I was thinking if I could earn some money without affecting the collection of my long term disability benefits.

It depends on the kind of policy you have.
If the policy has the ‘own-occupation’ definition of disability, you probably can earn through some other kind of work.
Own-occupation disability benefit is the most comprehensive one and allows you to earn through any work other than your original occupation.
This would not be possible though, if you don’t have own-occupation definition. In that case, any income through work will affect your benefits.
