A landlord might want to consider adding contents insurance if they are renting out the property fully furnished. However, they are not responsible for insuring the tenants’ belongings. So is it necessary?

Hey, Yes they would want to insure contents on their policy. If you have specific contents you can do a special endorsement and list the contents o the policy. You can also place contents coverage on the policy and charge the tenant for the premium you would be paying.
