A need has arisen for an experienced Head of Business Development to join a globally renowned insurance company.
Based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the position will be to manage the central sales force and sales operations within the company as well as the Underwritting and product development divisions. Reporting to the CEO the role will be one of substantial autonomy and it expected that candidates will have a minimum of 5 years within the insurance industry in a similar position.
Managing and delivering sales and business development strategies, team management and development, sales forecasting and reporting are only some of the elements within this challenging position.
Skills
• Identifying and Developing Opportunities within Key Corporate Clients
. Delivering new products and price plans
. Managing the Underwriting division.
• Assessing and driving the execution of business development opportunities, from origination through screening and due diligence to successful deal closure and integration
• Developing the strategic direction of Business Development
• Quality of relationships cultivated with customers and partners, internally with the delivery organization
• Participates in portfolio planning and review and works directly with management to understand product portfolio gaps and then drive solutions through business development activities.
• Working with cross-functional members to identify promising segments, and evaluating strategic fit and potential for operational synergy
Qualifications and experience
Minimum of 5 years of working experience, preferably from the insurance industry.
Strong background in Sales and Underwriting
Academics should include a Degree and Masters.
