I didn't know this until today, but did you know you can save thousands of dollars on your insurance simply by installing a video surveillance system. I work with customers everyday who tell me how much they saved on their insurance premiums by installing one of our simple PC based security systems. Check out these easy to use and install systems at http://www.security-kits.com
I also would love to know more about the discounts provided by having a surveillance system, and the reasons for the discounts so that I can better serve my customers

Not only is this bad spam... but it's _100% INCORRECT_ (really just a flat out lie from a spammer).
"I didn't know this until today," and 'I work with customers everyday who tell me how much they saved on their insurance premiums". Well, which lie are you going to stick with?

I am not a spammer and forgive me if I didn't write my post very well. I was contacted by a customer about a surveillance system and the customer told me that they were going to save $3000 on their insurance by having a surveillance system. I posted this trying to find out if that information was true or not. If it is not true that is fine, I just wanted to know.

Oh and in the effort to better understand insurance, can anyone explain why it is "100% incorrect" for someone to save money by installing cameras in their home/business? I don't know anything about insurance which is why I came to this forum.

Sorry, I thought you were the owner of Exwatchpro, next to Grinders on S State Street. What business are you in then, that a customer would mention an insurance discount given by his carrier for video cameras and why would you choose to post a URL to a new business out of millions of others? Certainly a site that has only been up for a few days would not have any search engine rank to speak of.
I've never known an insurance company to give a discount for having video. I've seen it help allow the carrier to underwrite and issue a policy... but never to give a discount.
Who was this person insured with?

I don't have a new web site, and I do work for EZWatchPro next to Grinders, but I am jsut a lowly employee trying to do a better job.
The customer just called me and asked if I could send out a system to him overnight so it could be installed before the insurance company did an inspection on his business and that way he would save $3000 on his 6-month premium. He was in Texas but did not mention the name of the insurance company, and I did not ask for it as I didn't think it was my business. It seemed strange so this is why I am asking the questions I am asking.
I don't know if companies give discounts for that kind of thing or not. If companies do give discounts, then that is good information for my customers. That is why I put up a poll asking if surveillance systems are good investments for insurance reasons. If companies don't give discounts for this kind of thing then the information I got from my customer was wrong and I need to know that so I don't give bad information to other customers.
Thank you for your information on this as I literally know nothing about insuring businesses or homes. (I live in an apartment)
If I offended someone by posting the company website here I apologize. I don't deal with forums so I didn't think it was a problem and I probably should read throught the posting rules more thoroughly.

I don't know about all the cameras etc...I do know that I get a 10% discount off of my homeowners policy because I have a monitored alarm system.
