I am presenting to the young agents at the winter meeting, and have been asked to speak about " your first 100 days in the business.
I have some great material, and I want to know what your advice would be. So what did you do your first 100 days to become successful?

Hello Ed,
When I first started as a Life Agent I had to assess what type of policies I felt comfortabel selling. I really had to believe in them or it would have come across that I just wanted to sell it and not help people. I had a hard time selling variable life insurance because I truly believe that life insurance should not be an investment vehicle but a means to supply your family when you pass. I then went with the 3 foot rule. Everyone within 3 feet of you gets a business card. Of course you cannot be pushy with this but it does work. You just have to hand that card out to someone that knows alot of people and your done.

Hello Ed,
I wish I had time to write all the things I would tell your group of new agents. In fact, when I speak at seminars, my presentation takes a little more than an hour - unless I get into the things new agents "shouldn't" do in their first 100 days, or any time after that.
If you're interested in speaking about this more, PM me and I'll give you my number. Or just go to my website.
