The cheapest way to get insured would be through your parents insurance. If that is not possible you will have to shop around and just see what rates you can get and which is the cheapest. It is expensive getting insurance when you are younger but everyone has to start somewhere. If I were you I would not try to have the most expensive car but rather go for a cheaper more reliable one to keep your rates donw.

Which type of insurance? I presume you’re asking about auto policies.
I remember having a similar discussion few days back and as the members have opined that its quite difficult to get cheap rate for young drivers. Almost all insures would rate them as high-risk drivers because of their inexperience and record of being involved in road wrecks.
You might have to search online and compare the costs. And, as Firey has mentioned, get yourself listed in your parent’s policies.
Now, if your query is about some other type of insurance, let us know.

You are just going to have to get different quotes from various companies and see who offers you the best value. There is no way in telling who is the cheapest because premiums vary across the board.

Cheapest insurance for a teen is buying them a transit pass or offering to pay gas for a friend who already is insured.

LOL. I like those remarks. It is definaltely hard starting out. I think jumping onto mom and dada policy is probaly the cheapest. How about any driving classes the poster may have taken. That would help right?
