Liability automoble insurance

I live in Arizona, I own a 95 Nissan Altima. Its completely paid for. I live where I work, and I hardly drive my car. Can I cut my costs by just carrying liability insurance and feel comfortable that I have enough coverage.

Hi Reburias, just ask yourself...whether you will be able to pay for the repairs out-of-pocket if the car gets damaged in an accident or buy yourself a new vehicle if it get stolen? You can reduce the level of coverage to liability only if you really don't care about these factors.

Thanks,
Rupert

Hi! If you hardly drive the vehicle then you may benefit from reducing certain coverage. But as Rupert has mentioned, you might then expose yourself to risks as well for which you won't get coverage any long. It might happen that one day you drive the car on the highway and were unfortunate enough to get into an accident which might total the vehicle.

However, how much would you save on premium by dropping the collision and comprehensive coverage on the vehicle? What is the ACV of the car?

You may not drive the car much, but,....what if ONE of those days you go out and get into an accident that does ALOT of damage to your car and you have injuries from it. The cost of the damage can be expensive. You just never know what can happen when you go out on the road.
