Question...I was going North on a 2 way street speed limit was 40mil/hr and i was going about 40mil or so...I come to a 3 way intersection My light was green so i didn't hesitate to stop.. half-way thru the intersection a White Toyota Sequoia hit my side fender, driver side, driver passenger side and some of the back side ad made my car spin and now i was on the opposite side of the Road....Well the young Lady was 17yrs old had just got her Drivers license and she had a 14yr old passenger in the Front Seat she proceeded into a Shell gas Station so what i did was follow her into the gas station...The min i got out of my car from the passenger side(i couldn't open the driver side) I said to her "you did not have the right away why did you turn," she called her Mother she came down..befor that I had already called the Cops and they took statement from me and her...Well when the police officer asked her if she had a green arrow to turn left she said there was a green light but no arrow....so to make a long story sort...I thought it was going to be an easy claim i was going to call her insurance and they were going to fix my car and so....Well now she is saying that it was not her Fault and that she had a green arrow...The Police took her statement why is she changing it now (not sure if her mother told her to change it or what) but the police reports indicate that she did not yield and didn't have arrow to turn...Who's at fault? I know clearly that i had a green light...

In situations like this, I would assume that the police report will be the official record.

Agreed, the police report would certainly be a document of importance in determining the fault.

However, it often causes complications with the claims since the responsible parties change their statements afterward to minimize their liabilities.

Does that intersection have a CC camera recording the traffic movement? You may need that recording to prove the liability on the other driver.
