Hi all,

Is it possible for someone to evaluate his own auto insurance claim?

If it is possible on what basis should it be done?

I hear a lot of insurance claims getting filed even under the present

economic crisis and I feel all of us should possess claim-filing information.

Waiting for your replies.. Bulldwarf

Hi..it is good to see that there are people who're looking to evaluate their own automobile insurance claims. Actually that's pretty much okay with the adjusters..but its a bit of a challenge for consumers. In order to weigh your own insurance claim you'd need to increase your insurance knowledge.

You may win over your adjuster by staying firm with your verbiage regarding the accident in the event that the the other party is vulnerable. In order to do that you'd need to gather all the facts associated with the accident. This would certainly enhance your credibility in his eyes.

See, if it is the fault of the other driver then the liability thing should not bother you. On the other hand if it is your fault then I'd suggest you to go through your state-specific negligence laws.
I'm saying this since there are quite a few states which would not allow you to collect the compensation for
losses even when it is just your partial responsibility.

I'm not sure what you mean by this question Bull if you mean trying to figure out a value for your vehicle well ok, but to evaluate and handle your own claim...I'm just not sure specifically what you would be doing? please clarify this for me..
