Hi all,
I'd like to present you with a list of exemptions to which your vehicle has to qualify & you need to go for an affidavit in order to be free of cancellation fees & other fines.
Such exemptions could be described as follows-
# The title or ownership of the vehicle was passed on to someone else
# The ownership was transferred beyond the state as the owner shifted to another state.
# The lease of the vehicle had lapsed
# Vehicle was damaged
# The vehicle was not used since it either got stolen or was unserviceable
# The vehicle could be garaged & used occasionally
I wish everybody will keep these facts into mind when they are out to sign a car insurance coverage in Georgia!

I have a car with my roommate. She drives the car, but I helped her get the car loan. My name is on the loan and title, but not the insurance. Am I liable or able to be sued if she has an accident simply by being a loan cosigner?

hi,
lets be sure of the fact as of now! Once your friend gets into any accident, then money might get realized through her vehicle insurance company. So in that case your name doesn't come into picture.
But say in the long run if she fails to meet up the loan, you'd need to reimburse it out of your own pocket failing which you might be sued. And in that case she won't have anything to do with that matter!
All the best, Robert Hamilton.

Hi! You said that your name is on the loan and also on the title!
Does that mean that the car was purchased in your name ?
Well, if thats the case then any mishap involving this car would certainly drag your name into it!
