My husband might be deployed in another country for some time. Is there any kind of auto insurance that helps military personnel during their stay abroad?

Let me ask you, if you don't mind. I'm assuming when he goes overseas (is that where's he's going?) he will just be on 'assignment'. If this is true, I would just continue to use the auto insurance you have now. He's a US citizen who is going to be stationed (temporarily) somewhere else (that's what I'm getting from your post, anyway. If you don't mind saying, where is he going? I'm giving this advice from personal experience. I, ALSO, serve in the Military..and it was just easier to keep everything 'updated' in the US, when I went overseas.

I'd always make sure I keep things updated wherever I go. He was just telling me the other day that he still has a chance to be deployed at a distant land..may be Iraq or Afghanistan..who knows..but I'm pretty much concerned about his stay!

If your husband is going to Iraq or Afghanistan, I seriously doubt he'll be driving any private passenger automobiles during his deployment. But he needs to keep his insurance in force here to protect anyone who might drive his vehicle while he's away.
