I've been told that my auto insurance will cover any new car that either replaces or adds with my old one. Is it correct? What things should I consider in this regard?

Hi, I'd always notify my insurance company as soon as I get a new car. It's not mandatory, but it offers a peace of mind once the new car is covered.

CARBLUEZ.....(just a comment here..) That's a very responsible thing to do. I know someone who DID buy another car. However,..didn't let the Insurance company know this. Now...he had 2 cars (which is fine and dandy)..but..he just ASSUMED it was covered under the policy for the 1st car. I'm not sure what his thinking was to make a decision like that..but..9to make a long story short) he learned the 'hard' way.
