my wife and i were involved in an accident in February of this year and both were injured. we were in a limo coming from a funeral and my limo hit the limo my wife was in. she was pregnant at the time and went to the er the next day and all they would do for her is check the baby. after she had the baby she went back to a doctor and received some treatment but still needs more. she called an attorney and he said she had a laps in medical treatment and would not take her case. what should we do

So she was injured 6 months ago... received no treatment and now she is still injured as a result of the accident and is going to seek medical treatment? I'm guessing she has health insurance? I can't see how treatment starting 6 months after an accident could be related (especially if, as I suspect, the complaint is a soft tissue injury). Personally, I'd take the attorneys advice and file under the health policy (if an injury attorney does not think you have a good chance, I'd tend to listen).

well like i said in the post she went to the er and they would not do any xrays on her just checked the baby they told her she would have to be checked after the baby was born and at that time she did go back i dont see that as laps in treatment

So she wants to be checked now to make sure no broken bones, etc? Did she have any discomfort at the time of the accident that still exists now?
She's need to have a complaint of pain at the time of the accident that still exists now. If so, she probably should seek medical advise for a consistent pain that has existed for 6 months. The doctors should be able to advise if they think it's related to the accident. Health insurance can address the bills initially and you can go from there.

Tcope has a point, it'd be difficult to relate the treatment to the accident since quite a span of time has passed by after she was injured in it. It'd be wiser to seek the coverage under the health insurance plan, if she has any.

Yupp...thats quite true jeorge..quite a span of time has lapsed in between. I had once heard of an accident case similar to this one wherein it involved a pregnant lady. As far back I remember, the lady's problems in connection to her pregnancy were later on proved to be natural developments for any woman who is pregnant for 5-6 months. Now, all this poor lady was supposed to be covered for had to be the aftereffects which had heightened her existing problems.
