OH I CAN NOT EVEN BELIEVE WHAT MY HUSBAND HAS DONE!!!!!! I cannot believe he would even do such a thing but he did....I am sooo angery. He lent our old pick up (work vehicle to a UNINSURED driver to get back and forth to work for a couple days. the guy had his car repoed and the guy he was riding with was on vacation. I just want to let him know I am just not blowing steam for nothing. What I would like anyone to do is list all the consequences of this STUPID action so that he knows I am not making this up. I really cann  ot believe this!

First... who responsible is a person who buys a vehicle and then does not pay for it and also (for some reason) has a vehicle with no right to drive and lastly has their license suspended (last time I checked, it takes some work to get your drivers licenses suspended.
Add this all up and then realize that YOU are now responsible for this person's actions in the vehicle... and it's not going to be pretty.
When you insurance company pays out the large claim and then increase your rates, how good are you going to feel. After all, you were kind enough to loan your vehicle to someone that has no right to drive. How good are you going to feel when this person injuries some other family in your vehicle? After all, without your vehicle, he'd not be on the road. How good are you going to feel when this person steals or sells your vehicle for a few bucks or some drugs?
There is a reason this person does not have a license. While you are at it, why not buy some drug addict some crack.

Tell your husband that if the driver wrecks the car or causes damages to someone else, you'll be held responsible for expenses. And I'm sure that he wouldn't like to see a hike or get his policy cancelled for a non-licensed driver.

You might as well have called your carrier and added this guy to your policy, because that is exactly what your husband did...you both now are financially responsible for whatever stupid thing this guy does with YOUR truck...including a limits case, increased premiums, if you can get insurance that is....of course it is also possible nothing bad will happen, but frankly i'd not sleep very good the entire time this guy has my truck and my financial future in his irresponsible hands....
Poor husband, he's in a heap of trouble boy for sure! He let his heart over rule his head in an effort to help someone that frankly doesn't deserve the help....let us know where the police can find the body (your husband's that is)

Thanks for replying. I just want him to see I was telling the truth about all this. I am still dazed at his stupidity. I also agree with Tscope 100% may as well give a crackhead some crack. There was a lot more pasoted here than I even knew could happen (like losing our insurance altogether).
I know my hubby has a big heart but this is just insane. I would have went and got it but I had no clue where this person lived and hubby wouldn't tell me. I just came back this morning before he left for work and informed him if the truck wasn't sitting in the driveway by this afternoon he could go lay his head whereever the truck was.
Lori, by any chance do you know where they sell body bags?

Thats always an idea for to keep in mind for the future. I kind of made hi pretty angry but now I think he knows what it feels like. I got mysister and her husband to take me to his work place and took BOTH vehicles. Sister drove the grand am home and I had the extra keys to the truck he lent to the guy and drove it home. I know leaving him with out a vehicle to get home in sounds mean but I did it for a couple reasons. 1: I was pretty pissed and 2. thought he should get a taste of what it would be like if the worst case scenario would have happened and we wouldn't have had a vehicle and insurance. Its been a few days so he's now laughing about it.

Sounds like everything worked out with the truck, although maybe not for the husband. Shoot him the link to this post while he gets used to the couch. Your handle is perfect, fireyone :)
