can a passenger get in trouble if the driver has no license

wanted to ask if a passenger is liable to the law if the driver has no license or insurance?

No... the driver would receive a citation for driving without a license. I don't know of any law that requires a passenger to verify that the driver has a valid license.

Well... the only way I can think of that a passenger could get into trouble if the "Driver has no license or insurance" is if the passenger owns the car being driven by the person driving without a license and the owner not having the automobile insured.

But then the passenger is not getting in trouble for the driver not being licensed, is he. The owner not being insured is different.
