21st is not ok to pay the mini cooper dealer labor charges

I have my mini cooper which I shipped to texas from nj. Recently last week when I was driving in highway at night I ran over some hazardous/truck board which is lying on the road(I am not able to see becoz of dark). This made my all the tires worn out and rim got affected. Now I have my car in san antonio tx mini cooper dealership.

I am trying for a claim from my insurance company 21st century. They are not willing to pay the Texas San Antonio Mini Cooper dealer's labor charges as stated below becoz they believe it is 4 times the cost of normal body shop rates. So they wanna move to some other body shop. I need help in recommending any other mini cooper auto/body shop to fix the below things. In case if you have any other idea/suggestions please feel free to let me know. As this is my new car I want it to get repaired in mini authorized dealer shop.

If they refuse, shall I tell them that I will complaint to Dept Of Insurance Texas?

1. 3 TIRES
515.28 PARTS
150.00 LABOR

2. 4 WHEELS
1128.40 PARTS
50.00 LABOR

3. FRONT STRUT MOUNTS
236.46 PARTS
625.00 LABOR

4. 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT
195.00 LABOR

I also attached the pictures.

Thanks,
Selva

here r some Mini dealers in texas...they must be providing the service also....

1. BMW of the Woodlands
17830 Interstate 45 South
Conroe, TX 77384

2. Mini of Houston North of the Woodlands
17820 Interstate 45 South
Conroe, TX 77384

3. Moritz Of North Arlington Cadillac and Mini Cooper
2001 N Collins St.
Arlington, TX 76011

If you happen to live in Lubbock TX or are passing through the "Advanced Care Valvaline" shop located on 75th and Quaker Ave right next door to Whata burger south 2 blocks off Loop 289 (outside the loop) on the left side of the road services Minis and keeps Mini filters in stock.

Of course they are not a mini authorized service center but they have first hand knowledge. So if you live near by you are in luck!

Thanks a bunch for prompt reply!!! Conroe TX dealers are 3 hours drive from san antonio and lubbock is 7 hours drive. My car is not drivable and need to be towed.

Total labour charges is $1020 and they adjuster I belive she is dividing it into 8hours as around $120 per hour. I tried to expalin her that the strut mount labor is the only think is costly fr $625 and it requires mini engineers expertise.

Shall I inform the adjusters's supervisor that I wil complain to DOI if they are not willing to pay for the labor charges. As I said they are ok to tow the car to other shop which is 4 times lesser than mini copper dealers which I don't want to do that.

sjaganat.....look man u dnt have much option neither they r ready to pay for authorized dealer......nor u r ready for unauthorized dealer..... i that case nothing can be done....any 1 party hav to give up and listen to other one.......... u can try to inform adjusters supervisor ....but still i beleive u take what they r offering ....... coz if u dnt accept ull turn out expending more to get less......u know what i mean........it is totally uptu u...think wisely and then take a step..... my advise is that "something is better than nothing"

Hi,

u can try to inform adjusters supervisor ....but still i beleive u take what they r offering

Before that I'd just like to know more about what the adjuster had stated when you tried to explain the cost and the expertise factors to her. Did she agree to it? Also, prior to any legal move go through your policy clauses that refer to repairs.
