Hi Guys,
I don't know much about car insurance so I would like to ask some question. What is much cheaper motorcycle insurance or car insurance? What are the inclusion for the coverage? If I have a car insurance, do I need to have a motorcycle insurance?

yes, every vehicle that is licensed for the road needs it's own policy...m/c policys are typcially less than an auto policy because the m/c costs less (not always) same u/w rules apply_________________

The car insurance wouldn't suffice all the requirements for the motorcycle. Hence, you may need motorcycle insurance for it. As lori has informed, you ought to get the two wheeler covered under its own policy. You can ask your agent to see whether you are eligible to receive multiple auto discounts if you insure it with the same insurer.
Thanks,
Rupert

Hi Lori,
I've heard that we may cover multiple cars under the same policy. Likewise, is it possible to include this m/c under the OP's existing car insurance.
If not..please explain it to me. I didn't quite follow Rupert's saying this-
The car insurance wouldn't suffice all the requirements for the motorcycle.

Certainly this is possibly cross...but when a person does this (adds a vehicle to their policy) in truth that vehicle gets it's own policy, typcially they may have the same 'policy' number, maybe a different unit number, but they each have their own unique policy...i know it's confusing when we say, 'add that vehicle to your policy' again in truth you are not doing that..it gets it's own policy...you will usually enjoy a multiple vehicle discount, but it has it's own..if i didn't clear it up let me know...and i'll try again..Posted: Fri Jan 16, 2009 09:25 am Post Subject:
Does that mean that whether you add different vehicles in one policy or get separate policies for each but from the same insurer you would get the same discount? putting more than one vehicle isn't going to fetch you any added benefits.

what kind of questions that the insurer would ask me before covering the m/c? do I have to give them an account of past car accidents as well? or can I skip that part?

When you contact the company or agent to 'add' an additional vehicle you of course tell them you already have a vehicle insured with them and then you could get a multicar discount...putting more than one vehicle isn't going to fetch you any added benefits
yes it will....what kind of questions that the insurer would ask me before covering the m/c?
Same application as with a car...do I have to give them an account of past car accidents as well? or can I skip that part?
Oh Asian, that's for starting my day with a good laugh...sorry but that is hysterical... no honey, you cannot 'skip' that question....Add your comment
