I'm only aware of it as a good driving course that prepares you to drive under severe conditions. It follows soon after you've cleared your driving tests.

There can be discounts for drivers age 55 and older who complete a "mature driver course" online or live.

It will save time and a lot of hassles if we may participate in such courses online. Can you suggest a couple of sites wherein we may sign up for such courses?

For members of AAA, they have a relationship with an online provider of a mature driver course. Many others can be located via a simple Google search on the topic. Additionally, one's own insurance company (or their website) is a good place to begin as well.

Yes, the drivers need to trudge through various road conditions. Sometimes they'd need to drive by night. It certainly adds a lot to their confidence and turns them into safer drivers.
