In Texas, do I have to sign a PIP waiver for each vehicle on my policy?

Hi there.. what I've learnt is that the Texas laws mandate the Auto carriers to provide for PIP coverage. There has to be a minimum coverage worth $2,500. Again the maximum limit has to be $10,000. There are carriers who'd inform you that this coverage is not a must. But remember, that you have declare in writing that you're not gonna opt for this coverage. So, in case you didn't decline this in writing, then you already have it.I guess..things are a bit clear to you now. Roddick

What is PIP coverage exactly. I have some understanding of it but not a lot. I think it is no-fault insurance. The amount of lost wages and medical bills your insurance company will pay you...right? So do you purchase PIP coverage on your policy and get to decide the amount or how does it work?

I'm just new here, can you tell me what PIP stands for?

PIP is a form of health insurance for auto insurance policies. It insures some level of coverage for medical treatment that results from an auto accident.
