Car Insurance with a permit

I will be turning 21 in a few days and I have just received my learners permit in the state of GA. I took a few hours at a driving school but its really expensive and I don't feel like I have enough practice to take the road test.

My question is that I moved here a few months ago and I have no family located in the state and im unsure of how I can get more driving experience. I have a car available to buy when ever im ready but I was just wondering if its possible to insure a car with a learners permit? If I was to borrow a friends car would I be covered?

For what car saima ? Do you own a car? Or are you just being allowed to drive someone elses? Or are you talking about a state that requires or offers 'drivers' only insurance?

Yeah, I also bought my car without a license. I bought the car first and then took out the license. Also I got a insurance for my new car but the agency told me that the I need to submit my license in 30 days or the insurance becomes null n void.

By the way are you by any chance a international student or visitor?

Bcoz insurance companies do accept international licences

Chris
Regarding the insurance company inspecting the car before you by... it only happens in situation if its a old/used car.

Generally for new cars, they dont need to inspect.

Hi Ann,

you can keep reading as many advices but the bottomline is that you need to have a drivers permit to bring the car on road and the best way is to get it as soon as possible. If your friends grandmother is in a hurry then you can pay her some money upfront .

Hi Saima,

Which state are you in?
Is it a new car or an old one?

I've asked these questions, so that I could tell you about the rules in your state and what suits you best as per the condition of your car.

I like to get my inspiration from really meaningful phrases said by truly great people like “The life of man (in a state of nature) is solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short”, do you know where I can find thematic compiltaions of those?
