My boyfriends son 17 was in a car accident and it was his fault. They dad and son did not have car insurance. Boyfriend filed bankruptcy. Now he got a letter in the mail saying a lein of subrugation was filed on him. What is this?

Is it a medical lien for the hospitol bills correct?
A lien is the claim of some debt, duty or obligation. Subrogation is a lawful claim or demand. So I would think that they are reserving the right to sue for the bills at some point. This is just my guess and someone else will probaly be better able to answer this.
