My accident involved 3 vehicles hit from behind!

There was 5-7 cars in front of me. We were all stopped at a light. The light turned green, we all began to go. I noticed ahead of the car in front of me cars were breaking. Just as I began to move my foot from the gas peddle to break I heard a crash which I learned a week later came from the car in front of me hitting the car in front of her first then bam I hit the back of her making her hit the car in front of her again. I did not realize the bang I heard came from the car I hit had, hit the car in front of her first is why I didn't relate the bang as being part in our accident, at the time of the accident.

The girl in the middle car was freaking and the lady in the front car was calling the cops. When her car and my truck hit my saddle got caught somehow tearing my sandle off my foot hurting my foot in the process. I have no idea what the girl in the middle car said happen as far as I know the agent from my insurance company didn't get a statement from her as to what happened. It happened so fast that all I knew was I hit the car in front of me and pushed her into the car in front of her so I figured it was my fault which is what I told the cop and my insurance company. The cop gave me a careless driving ticket, I was the only one that got a ticket.

A week later I remembered hearing a bang before bam I hit the car in front of me. After remembering hearing the bang before I hit I called the lady in the front car to ask her what her version of the accident was. She immediately told me she had been hit twice that the second hit was harder then the first hit. She told me that she had told the cop she was hit twice as well as telling the claims agents at each insurance company the same thing. I let her know the cop had came up to me and said she had told him I said I didn't have insurance. I told her that I told him she must have misunderstood me I said I did have insurance so he said ok you did give me that insurance card.

Nonetheless, the cop did not put what she had told him about being hit twice in the police report nor did the driver of the middle car get a ticket when she hit first giving me no warning I needed to break. Even though, I told the cop I began to move my foot over to break noticing the cars ahead breaking but that my sandle got caught somehow getting torn off hurting my foot it didn't matter I still got the only ticket.

The damages to the front of my truck verses the damages to the back of the car in front of me being my truck is much heavier then her car I feel when she hit the car in front of her that her car bounced back where as her car hit my truck at the same time I hit her car causing the greater impact.

Here comes the most upsetting part. The minute after getting off the phone with the lady in the front car I called my insurance company to tell them something I remembered having new information needing to be acknowledged before they paid out for the whole accident. I let them know what I remembered which confirmed the statement given to them from from the lady in the front car.

I automatically was defending that the outcome of liability payoffs needed to seriously be reconsidered in determining who was really at fault and liable for which part of the cost of damages. Nonetheless, I was not even heard when by all rights there should have been a minimal adjustment decrease cutting my liability payout in half.

I figured the agents handling this claim would not have a problem working to decrease the liability payouts on my behalf especially considering the lady in the front car already gave her statement to the claim agents at my insurance company a week prior to me confirming the statement she had given them, I was wrong.

I hadn't thought nothing about it until I took my truck to get an estimate on my damages from this accident. Our full coverage insurance would pay to repair the damages (less $500.00 deductable).

I have had a couple minor accidents my insurance company had to pay out liability for, one of them was not over $900.00 and the other one was not over $1400.00.

Our insurance company had referred an auto body shop where John could take the truck to repair damages from the theft of my sterio and replace the sterio, we did take to the referred shop our insurance company paid out nothing the cost was just under $500.00 our deductible. We noticed my truck had been hit in the rear a year prior to this accident. We allowed the referred shop to repair damages to the truck, my insurance company paid out about $1800.00 we paid $500.00 deductable on those repairs.

(TOTAL PAID INTO ON 96' GMC FOR 3 YEARS WELL OVER - $7500.00)

(TOTAL LIABILITY PAYOUT - $2100.00)
(TOTAL COMPENSATION PAYOUT - $1800.00)
(BEFORE THIS ACCIDENT TOTAL CLAIMED - $3900.00)

Let me make sure I have this right...girl in front of you rearended car in front of her...then you rearended her, causing her to hit that car again correct? If so then...

when by all rights there should have been a minimal adjustment decrease cutting my liability payout in half.

No this isn't correct...you owe ALL the damage to the rear of her car...you are the only one that hit that...regardless if she bounced back...you were too close and couldn't get your car stopped in time...careless driving ticket is a litte harsh, i would try and get that reduced to following too close...at any rate, the front of her vehicle and the rear of the other vehicle would need to be figured out, the amount of damage could (some what) be determined by the damage to the front of your vehicle and the rear of hers...that would show how strong that impact was....

What did your adjuster say about all of this...when there are chain reaction accidents one of the questions is ALWAYS how many impacts did you feel? Did they not ask this orginally?

I have no idea what all these figures are that you have at the bottom of your post, can you please explain all of that?

Gosh, the case is way too complicated. However, if I've understood you narration correctly then you've hit the car in front of yours causing it to hit the car before it. I guess you're liable for the damages caused to both the vehicle.

Leaving aside that the car ahead of yours has already hit the vehicle in front once, you were responsible to keep yourself out of the trouble, failing which makes you responsible for the damages caused by you. I know its unfortunate but it's the fact.

Each claim is independent from the previous ones, hence the older claims may not affect the present, but I certainly fear that you may experience a hike in the rates at the next policy renewal.

Was hit from behind not once, not twice, but three times. Not at a fast rate, but I'm injured.their insurance company tried offering me 650 bucks. I have been on medication every since. My wife doesn't sleep in bed with since. I just wanna know what is this accident worth.

Apparently $650. If you have a different opinion, then tell the insurance company or consult an attorney. There are no details here worthy of any other response.
