My vehicle was hit by another in December 2007.
That party and their insurance co. accepted responsibility.
Thus far that company has done a timely job at reimbursing for deductible, towing, car rental, medical bills (3 doctors' visits) plus physical therapy (9 sessions).
The injuries that resulted from the accident are considered soft-tissue injuries.
Now I am working on the injury part of the settlement. I am opting for the time being to forgo an attorney since we are not looking at major damage or injuries, but want to make sure I am getting best possible settlement that is reasonable.
Although no missed earnings from work (I'm salaried, not hourly) loss of time from the office to make it to appointments added stress to my work schedule.
The insurance company originally offered $2,000 to settle and now increased to $2,500.
My original thoughts targeted $5,000-$6,000 range.
Any advice on how to handle their offer and my target? Thanks.

No, I think sounds like a fair settlement all the way around... if you do as well then that's really all that matters.... Hope we were able to assist you.

A car insurance company with the lowest price may not be the best value. Read the details to see what coverage is included. Determine if they require you to use their shops for repairs or if you can request a shop you trust. Also, check to see if your rates will jump up if you are in an accident. The details can cost you quality and money in the long run.

I'm sorry esauldaris, I'm not understanding how this fits into the thread...but for the record...NO insurance company or policy can do this...
