Sorry to hear that.
Need more information such as what state and insurance you have. Assuming that you are insured and that you have no fault which may include PIP this may cover your husband medical and so forth. As I said it all depends on where you live and what coverages you have.

well your husband, can press charges, but if the person doesn't have any money than, your husband will be unable to attain any compensation.

Janell, unfortunately what Justin has said is probably true....when the other driver has no insurance you only recourse is to turn to your own insurer or may sue the driver for compensation.
Also like Chad has said you might let us know the state you reside. The state laws can influence the situation a lot.
