I've never heard of a carrier knowingly giving insurance to someone without a DL. First, it would be unethical, probably illegal, and I have no idea how an insurance company would rate someone who cannot legally drive.

Hello Mgomez8242,

Driving license isn't necessary to get coverage for accidents. If the accident isn't your fault then you would be covered by the other driver's insurer. And, if you are the passenger in a car the insurance company of the driver would cover you if you get injured in the accident. But under any circumstances you shouldn't be driving without license and insurance.
Hope I've cleared your doubts. If not, please ask again. :)

Hi mgomez..
There are quite a few types of coverage that come under auto insurance. Did the carrier rep. tell you regarding the benefits of the coverage he was talking about?
Or is it that you came across such coverage while surfing the internet?
