Can anyone tell me what they think of Banker's Life? My wife works for them as an appontment setter and they want me to come in and sell for them. I have been in the insurance industry off and on for the last 16 years and have heard of them but have never dealt with them. Opinions?

I've decided against Bankers Life. Not only has everyone's feedback helped me decide, but I am starting to get a bad feeling about the two agents that are trying to recruit me. Thank you everyone.

Johny, please keep us update about the company if you come across any information that might help the community as a whole. I'm sure that both the agents as well as the consumers would love to learn about the companies before they can decide about them.
I've seen that ampminsure.org has taken an initiative to gather feedback about the various insurance companies and has also created a company forum for the same purpose. So, please let all of us contribute to the forum to help the insurance consumers worldwide.

i come from another sales arena- time share. I was successful when everyone was fat and happy. But it's getting harder to make deals. i thought long-term care insurance would be a no-brainer for the new baby boomers. I would want to sell someone about to hit 62 or 65. Then, they're rightfully thinking of their future- includes illness and or debilitation. what do you think out there? I kinda like the idea of selling something people really do need. I wasn concerned my Dad didn't have long-term care insurance a few yrs ago and so I got it for him. Isn't this kinda recession-proof?

THE BANKERS LIFE & CASULATY COMPANY ARE CROOKS
THEY DENY CLAIMS AND DO NOT WORK WITH YOU. IT HAS BEEN MY EXPERIANCE THAT EVEN WITH ALL THE PROPER PAPERWORK FROM A PERSONS PRIMARY DOCTOR AND OTHER DOCTORS STATING THAT A PERSON NEEDS IN HOME CARE APR THERE POLICY THE BANKERS LIFE PEOPLE DO NOT PAY THEY WILL LET YOU DIE AND THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PERSON OR THE SITUATION THAT THEY QUALITY FOR. THEY ANSWER IS ALWAYS IT WILL TAKE 30 TO 90 DAYS AND THEN ITS DENIED. YOU CAN APPEAL AND THAT TAKES MONTHS AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE ALL SAY THE SAME THING AND YOU NEVER CAN TALK TO A SUPERVISOR NOR DO THEY CALL YOU BACK. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE BARED FROM DOING BUSINESS AND ALL CLIENTS SHOULD HAVE THE MONEY THEY SPENT REFUNDED TO THEM. I CANT BELIVE THEY GET AWAY WITH THIS.

I own and operate a Home Care Business in New Mexico and of all the LTC insurance companies we deal with Bankers Life is the worst. they consistantly delay reimbursment to hospice patients and seem to deliberatley attempt to postpone authorization to providers and policy holders.
