It would be a dream come true if we don't need to pay any deductible for our auto insurance. We should also come to know the  various limitations associated with such auto insurance if at all we'd like to qualify for it. It is quite natural for a consumer to pay for the deductible whenever he meets with an accident irrespective of whether he was at fault. It is his obligation to meet this amount prior to the reimbursement of his claim. Deductibles could even be as high as $ 1000. It is often not easy for the seniors and the students to pay for the deductible. Zero deductible auto insurance is an example wherein the policyholder doesn't need to pay anything upfront after an accident. Some of the US states would allow their consumers to avail car insurance without any deductible but there are some drawbacks associated with such plans-
  • Such plans are not offered by all companies.
  • They would add considerable amount of risk to your business.
  • They would increase insurance costs for the insured.
  • Such policies would set tough criteria for the consumers to qualify.
You may choose to opt for a lower deductible auto insurance coverage alternatively. It is natural for most insurance applicants to qualify for policies with deductibles between $100 and $500. Such policies would generally cost lower than the zero deductible policies. In addition the applicant would come across a variety of insurance quotes provided by multiple insurers. Generally the car thefts or acts of hooliganism won't incur any deductible upon your plan. You might opt for a zero deductible plan for such events. But make sure that you either consult with a qualified insurance agent or shop for online quotes.
