Errors and Omissions Insurance or E&O is a professional liability insurance that protects companies and individuals against claims for inadequate work or negligent actions. It should be carried by insurance brokers and dealers, registered investment advisors and financial planners.

E & O insurance stands for “Errors and omissions” insurance. It is basically business liability insurance for professionals and experts such as insurance agents, brokers, architects, and other business professionals. An error or omission, which causes financial damage to another, can occur on any deal in any profession.
