Workers comp and general liability

My husband and I own a small construction company in Georgia. We got a job in South Carolina that should take about 1 month to complete. We already have General Liability and Workers Comp, but will it work in SC or do we need additional insurance?

You'll have to check with your insurance company to see if your WC coverage will cross state lines. The general liability coverage should not be a problem.

Workers' compensation benefits are dictated by the state, and your benefits in Georgia could be very different than those in South Carolina. In all likelihood, you will either need a South Carolina endorsement on your Georgia policy, or a separate South Carolina policy.
