We are going to perform a drama in our school that involves a case of negligence and another case of gross negligence. Could anybody make me understand the legal difference between the two?

Please be very specific and illustrative if you have the time.

Negligence is when a particular person, organization or other enterprise acts incompetently or under the identified standard of proper care, and for that reason caused harm through their absence of reasonable and expected action. Gross negligence is a much more critical form of negligence that goes a step further more than simple carelessness. While normal negligence is seen as a individual or company dropping below an expected standard of care, gross negligence is observed as a total failure to show care that in fact indicates carelessness for safety and human life.
