What does it mean statuary workers' compensation?

Can a company ( an insurance company , for example) , which normally does collecting information necessary for the completion of a service (calculating the risk probability..), delegate the task to an external company that will do this job for her, but without the external company gives the details to the insurer but only the conclusion :



For example:

We are going to perform a drama in our school that involves a case of negligence and another case of gross negligence. Could anybody make me understand the legal difference between the two?

A doctor did an incorrect surgery to my son and left the scissor in his bowel. When he started feeling abnormal pain, we went for an MRI scan and came to know about it. The surgeon who performed the operation just denied. And therefore we had to move to another hospital to get it removed through a major operation. My question is can I sue that doctor?
