Publishers liability insurance - media perils policies

What does a Publishers liability insurance cover? Are these policies the same as that of the media perils policies?

There are certain things in a publishers' agreement that one needs to think about. Copyright infringement which is quite common these days is covered under publishers' liability insurance.

Such coverage should also protect against privacy invasion. Publicity rights should also be protected under such coverage.

Publishers liability insurance should cover you for attorney's fees and other expenses related with legal defense. Such costs could be covered till the liability limit of your policy or might even be more than that.

For versions that are not published within the US, you'd need to seek specific coverage. Also, remember, that you need to obtain separate coverage for your online activities.
