Hi everyone, I’m graduating this year and my major is Insurance and risk management. My graduation project is about risk management, and I am slightly out of recourses and solid info, so could you help me please... :?

1. What should an internal risk department consist of?

2. What would an external Risk management company add?

thank you :)

Hi Al-Bader,

What should an internal risk department consist of?

It stresses upon actuarial science. This branch involves actuarial statistics, mathematics, computer systems and online research. It also includes insurance and different business disciplines.

It also caters to-

* Corporate risk handling
* Employee rewards
* Insurance carrier management and output
* Insurance customer behavior
* Insurance company regulations and the markets
* Service and features of the govt. backed insurance programs.

Is there anything else that you'd like to ask in this regard?

The dept. of risk management and insurance basically guides you with theoretical risk management solutions as well as different risk-management practices.

They are engrossed in works like-

* Insurance risk financing
* Insurance risk engineering
* Determining risk behavior

So students like you will get the much needed help to be a professional risk manager. You'll gain the knowledge and the view to guide different global and domestic insurance communities.

Do you have any more queries in this regard?

Man times change. When I was in college I'd have never thought of going online and asking strangers to do my homework for me.

I'm sure this won't complete his entire graduation project, but perhaps it will give him a good starting point. I know that online forums certainly were of no help to me when I was in school!
