Hi Leah.. comparison tools are not always the last thing. You'd actually need to know a product in depth. There are some trusted names and you'll always find them online. Other than that, we have experts visiting our forums, who're equipped to handle such queries quite efficiently.

Yes, before we sign with an insurance co. we'd need to know their claims history alongside their product features. Some times it's easier to get our applications accepted with certain carriers, but it often becomes difficult to get our claims processed with them.

I am agree with anonymous00 that you must confirm the previous experience of the target company before purchasing a policy. You should clear all the confusions regarding the covers they are providing.

It is certainly important that you understand every word on your insurance policy as insurance companies would often fall back on the the fine print to avoid paying their clients what is rightfully owed to them.
