The backpacker policy operates as effective and cheaper alternative to the single policy of assurance of the tourist of a trip, offering a range of special additional services of hotel besides residing of a cover, such as a ski and sports protection in which you, probably, would need on the way.

Hi Milfordct, so you mean that this backpacker policy is a kind of travel insurance. I understand the ski and sports protection, but I'd like to know more about the special additional services that you've mentioned over here.

Backpacker Insurance is for safety during the travel. You can search it online and can get much information about backpacker insurance. There are so many insurance company and having different policies with different rates. Even some backpacker insurance companies provide accommodation.

for how many years is this insurance running? i wanna know before i avail it. cause by February i'll be leaving and i think i need to get one.

I think if one is planning to travel for a longish duration then it is always better to have a comprehensive travel insurance that could cover your medical treatment at the destination and most importantly any unfortunate accident you may meet so ambulance costs and if you have to be taken to a distant place for the treatment then cost of flight need to be covered.

I'm agree with goodyphilips that whenever you plan to go for a trip you should have an assurance to be safe during your travel time. If you are going with your family or friends then it's your responsibility to take care of them, so you must have an travel health insurance because you never know what might happened when you are travelling.
