I’ve been recently taking therapeutic medicines regularly. I’ve to take it for at least another six months more but I can’t afford my medicine costs. Is there any option for me to cover my prescription medicine costs?

To be eligible it is generally required that you don’t have an individual health policy and not eligible for government run programs as well. There might be income restrictions as well.

There are a variety of prescription discount programs available in each state. Most of these programs are free and can save you 20-50% off the retail cost of your prescriptions. The caveat is that you will get marketing messages from the discount program and the pharmaceutical companies in exchange for lower prices, but that's a small price to pay for the money you'll save.
In California, where I live, I recommend CaliforniaRXCard.com, but there are similar programs in most states.

There are many health plans that offer prescription drug coverage, and if you regularly pay for the prescriptions it may be worth upgrading your plan to save money.
It may be even more worthy to look into you discount programs offered by the state, if your ready to be put into a pool of marketing schemes, just use it for the benefits!

You can try asking your doctor if you're eligible for a prescription discount card or he/she can prescribe generics instead. You can also seek help from state pharmaceutical assistance programs.

And the physician will have no answer for you. Anyone can get a prescription "discount" card at Walgreen's, Rite Aid, and many other pharmacies. They are a dime a dozen. The discounts may or may not be meaningful.
