Hello,
I'm trying to save some money on insurance. My wife's plan is cheaper and seems just as good. My open enrollment time will not come along until april but her's is currently open. Will I have double coverage from now until april? Can I avoid paying both premiums for that time? I don't want to be uninsured by cancelling mine first. If I do have to pay both of the premiums temporarily, can I use either provider I want to?
Thanks!!!!

As far as my knowledge goes, you may have double coverage and that shouldn't be a problem.
If you don't pay premiums for both then you'd lose coverage on one of the policies you don't pay for.
If you pay for both, then you may use either of them but can't make double claims.
Take help of an insurance advisor to know in details about the pros and cons.
