I haven't had any form of health insurance till date. Thankfully, neither did anything major happen to me. However, now I want to buy a policy since I am around 42 years of age. I recently found out that I also have the type 1 diabetes. Will this be regarded as chronic condition? hat kind of insurance should I get?

Yes, diabetes is regarded as a chronic condition. Earlier insurance was denied to those with type1 diabetes. Might be regarded as a pre-existing condition for health insurance nowadays.
Nevertheless, it will affect your insurance rates. You can find out about PCIP for assistance.
