Hi. I have already turned down 2 good insurance jobs, because I am not sure that I can get the license. I have a 30 yr old "non sufficient funds" felony conviction & a 20 yr old "possession" (marijuana) felony conviction. Since then, I have been squeaky clean (no more arrests).
The problem is that I would have to first take the 52 hour insurance course, pass the test, and THEN they decide whether I qualify or not. Seems unfair, but that's the way it is.
I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to FIRST get an exemption from my California State Commissioner, and THEN take the course?
Any info will be appreciated. Arnele

Please check my eligibility to get an insurance license in CA. as I am an ex-felon in a 42 year old case.
