Grandfathered polices? - How does that effect the coverage or claims?

There is no effect on coverage or claims -- in fact, if there was a significant change in coverage (other than the cost of insurance), the plan would lose its grandfathered status. The only benefit to being grandfathered is the exemption from certain elements of the PPACA requirements for health insurance. Eventually, the plan will lose its grandfathered status anyway.
