Health Insurance after DR

Hi! I was just wondering how my health insurance benefits change after DR approval. Presently am below 62 but my spouse has crossed that. Now my primary health insurance is blue cross. However, when my spouse visits the doctor, Blue Cross is primary and Medicare is taken as secondary.

Would this change after DR approval? Especially, when my spouse will need medical attention in future. Would Medicare become primary and BlueCross become secondary, or as per Federal Disability Retirement, she would be able to able to keep Blue Cross as PRIMARY and Medicare secondary?

If you spouse is 65 or over and has Medicare coverage, after DR approval that would become primary and Blue Cross is secondary. However, to understand the coordination in a better way, you should either get help of your agent or check out the BlueCross BlueShield website.
