Help needed with dental insurance options

Currently, I’m deciding between two dental plans for my job and I obviously want to choose the better one.

Option 1: Provides the option of both In or Out of Network. However, I do need to pay monthly payments for this (so that means its the better option...right?)

Option 2: Only has in-network options. However, I do not have any monthly fees for this option.

After this, you might get a feeling that option 2 is better for you as long as the burden on your pocket is concerned.

However, in Orthodontia…

Option 1: Plan Pays: 50% of pre-set,
negotiated fee, up to the
separate $2,000 orthodontia
lifetime maximum (deductible
and calendar year maximum do
not apply)

Option 2: Plan Pays: 50% (up to one
course of treatment per
person per lifetime)

I am totally lost. Any advice would be appreciated. :)

Well, no one here knows what your personal circumstances are, and as a result, no one here can give you the advice you need without knowing more about you and your situation. There are probably many other concerns that need to be evaluated as well other than premiums and orthodontia benefits.
