I visited a dentist last saturday for severe pain, swelling, bleeding and pus coming out from my wisdom teeth (which is just appearing). I’m just 17 and the dentist just had a glance through at the x-ray and stated that all those need to be taken out.
The dentist needs to get permission from my insurance carrier before removing the teeth. The receptionist at the clinic told me that she would call me once they get permission for the procedure and suggested me to take some ibuprofen.
Now my condition is miserable and the medicine is not helping, neither Aspirin or Aleve. Shouldn’t they have already got hold of it? I just wanted to know the process.
Should I call the receptionist again?

The dentist is the one to ask, not the receptionist, and not us.
