Breast cancer query..

My wife has been diagnosed with stage 0 Ductal carcinoma. It seems that the procedure will be a Lumpectomy followed by 6 weeks of low dose radiation.

Assuming that all will go well what are her prospects for life insurance? Her overall health is perfect otherwise!

Any response would be appreciated.

Go through her insurance papers to find out what all are covered and what not.

Did you check her life insurance whether or not her medical cost is covered by it?

My sincere apologies for the stupid answers offered by adamsarthur and rblack -- as Forrest Gump's mother used to tell him "STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES." Neither of these two replies has anything at all to do with your question.

Cancer and life insurance do not mix well in your wife's situation. However, after she has been treatment-free for five years, the point at which the likelihood of future survival is about 90% that of persons who have never been diagnosed with cancer, qualifying for life insurance would be possible, but would still probably result in a "substandard" rating.
