I’ve been receiving group health insurance at work since 2007. If I suddenly quit would I be eligible for COBRA?

Yes, you’d be eligible for COBRA. Alternatively, you could even purchase a plan on your own. However, you could be declined based on your medical history in most of the states. Get help from a licensed practitioner in this regard.
Starting from 2014, you can no longer be declined coverage based on pre-existing medical conditions. However, the premiums could be higher!!

Effective 1-1-2014, this is 100% wrong.

Yes, good advice. Don't ask MangoQurious for help because he is not one of us.
