My son resides in Kentucky. His employer told him that for the past 12 months they did not take out medical insurance premiums from his salary. So, they are now asking him to pay back $2000 from the total salary withdrawn by my son in 2012. Apparently, he shouldn't be paying back as its not his fault. He only made a single visit to the physician under his employer's insurance. What recourse we have in this regard? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It may be his employer's fault for failing to take the deduction, but that doesn't mean your son doesn't owe the money. Doesn't matter whether he used the insurance one time, one hundred times, or zero times. He enrolled, he was covered, and he owes the money. What recourse we have in this regard?
NONE. Pay the money.Add your comment
