Health insurance law in Alabama

My firm is changing their health insurance coverage terms. This they say is necessary since AHCA law would come into effect in 2014. Our firm has proposed to make it compulsory for all the full-time employees before anyone could use their healthcare service provider. They are not leaving any option for us to buy our own from the exchange. Is this allowed in my state of Alabama? How do I manage all this? Thank you for your help in advance.

Your question is not accurately stated, but what I believe you were trying to say is that your employer is telling you that you must apply for its group health insurance plan, and cannot purchase individual coverage through the exchange.

If your employer has 50 or more employees, unless your self-only cost of insurance is more than 9.5% of your household Modified Adjusted Gross Income or your employer's plan does not provide a minimum of 60% actuarial value, you cannot purchase your health insurance through the exchange in your state. You are ineligible for premium tax credits, and your employer could be fined for allowing employees to obtain a tax credit through the exchange.

Sorry, this is what Obamacare is all about. The Democrats you elected to office are responsible for what you get or don't get.
