Hello,
I have a question that I'm really hoping you can assist me with. I have a home which is one house away from the Barnegat Bay. The front of my home has been gradually sinking and the house now has a significant slope. The floors slope 5 inches over a 24 foot span.
I purchased the home 6 years ago, and have monitored the gradual sinking. Although there may be no single flood that can be attributed to this issue, I do believe it to be a result of sinking land due to the proximity to the bay, and the continuous flooding of our property (2-3 times per year).
Is this an issue that would be covered by my Flood Insurance policy? I am concerned by the fact that there is no single flood to attribute this problem to.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, and I hope to hear from you soon.
