My friend, believe me the point-system is an effective system to track your driving history. What I've seen from my experiences is that, all your wild gestures at driving can be judged upon a specific point value. Your tracking rules non-compliance, at-faults mishaps, DUI incidents, parking related tickets would come under these point-system. These points would amount to your driving history for each of these flaws & tarnish your record. Hope you'd remember these cases for your future references!

GOOD MORNING 'UNHAPPY' (and sorry about that too :( )

IF A CLAIM WAS NOT FILED CAN INSURUNCE COMPANY GIVE YOU POINTS

IF, there was no insurance claim file, no police report, you (lets assume for the sake of example) paid the person yourself directly for the damage you caused, again no police report and no claim with their company either with your name attached to it. Then NO there would not be any points assessed because as far as 'anyone' (meaning insurance companies) were concerned there was NO accident. And no traceable means for one to 'show' up.

Best of luck, come back and see us, or ask another question, hope you are 'happy' next time. :)

Well, in my opinion the points accumulated on your driving record may or may not influence your premium rates. That would depend a lot on the policies of the company. Actually, every decision by your insurer would be on the basis of the driving track record that you possess. It would provide him with some of the key determinants of your needs and enable him to ascertain his insurability towards you. It would also help determine the risks associated with any policy that would be considered for you.
Thanks, Juanita
